Overthrow Academy is a coaching system built on structure, repetition, and real feedback. Our goal is simple: Give players a clear plan, honest feedback, and a throw that holds up under pressure.
Overthrow began on a tennis court. Josh and Mikey were coaching alongside one another at a local country club, developing players and working daily in a live instructional environment.
Mikey brought strong experience in coaching leadership and video production. Josh brought a background in disc golf and a growing interest in movement mechanics. When Mikey moved to another club across town, disc golf became a way to stay connected. As they played, questions about form naturally led to deeper conversations. Their combined coaching backgrounds made it easier to break movements down, test ideas, and refine explanations. What started as discussion turned into structured breakdowns.
What started as informal filming turned into instructional content. The response from players made it clear: there was room for a more technical, structured approach to teaching the throw.

Good technique isn’t accidental. It’s built.
Overthrow Academy exists to give players more than information. We provide structure, progression, and direct feedback so improvement isn’t left to chance.
Our coaches teach from a shared technical model. Every drill, lesson, and review is designed to build repeatable mechanics that transfer to the course.
The goal isn’t temporary distance.
It’s sustainable development.
